Delete your account
Last updated: 12 October 2026
You can delete your Mina Property Management account at any time, in the app, on the website, or by asking us. Deleting it is permanent.
1. In the Mina app
Open the Account tab, tap Delete account, enter your password and confirm. You are signed out straight away and the account cannot be recovered.
2. On the website
Sign in, open your Profile, choose Delete Account and enter your password to confirm.
3. If you cannot sign in
Email info@minatechnologies.com with the subject “Delete my account”, from the email address on the account or giving the phone number it was registered with, or call +251 92 772 7196. We confirm the request is yours before deleting anything, and then delete the account as described below.
4. What is deleted
If you are an owner, your account and these records under it:
- your buildings and units, and the leases, sales and standalone occupancies in them;
- the payments recorded against them, costs and maintenance requests;
- utility bills and runs, meter readings, reading requests and bill comments;
- your managers’ access to your buildings, your bought texts and bill credit, and the bank account you registered for withdrawals;
- your notifications, activity history, sign-in sessions and the phones registered for notifications.
Your tenants’ own accounts are not deleted: a tenant may also rent from someone else.
If you are a tenant, your account, your maintenance requests, your notifications, sign-in sessions and registered phones.
If you are a manager, your account and your access to the buildings you managed.
5. What is kept, and for how long
- Money still yours. An account whose Balance still holds money paid to you online, or with a withdrawal still being paid out, is not deleted. Withdraw it first; deletion then goes ahead.
- Your landlord’s records, if you are a tenant: the leases, payments and bills recorded with you are the landlord’s business records and stay with them.
- The record of money that moved through Mina Property Management — online payments received and withdrawals paid — is kept for as long as Ethiopian tax and commercial law requires, as the Privacy Policy explains.
- Backups are overwritten on a rolling basis, so deleted data leaves them within weeks. Server logs are kept for one year, as the Computer Crime Proclamation No. 958/2016 requires.
